Well, I got them in, FINALLY. Thanks to the help and tips many of you gave me they are finally done. Took us about 12 hours total.... This includes breaks, hardware store trips (5) and setup and cleanup as well. That is an insanely rediculous amount of time for a header install, i know, but it was our first header job. These headers are a PITA to install, many hidden bolts that require u to try and work blind. Thankfully we had a girl with hands and arms that are about half the size of mine to squeeze into the crazy cracks and bend, without that, i dont think we could have finished. We were working on 2 jack stands, with a floor jack and a good amount of tools. We also had a very small and thin rachetting wrench that was absolutely necessary to get several of the impossible bolts tight. Well, on our first bolt, that wrench got snagged and broke the rachetting part. :bang: :bang: :bang: This is what slowed us down the most. We had to ship the tool to katie tools for the warranty so, out of luck for this project. :nonono: this is y i love craftsman.. anyways, after the long haul and several cuts, bruises, and more cuss words than a rap song, we finished. After driving the car to work this morning, WORTH EVERY MINUTE! The SOTP meter is satisfied beyond belief. I didn't think I would even be able to notice it, but I was dead wrong! The sound is much quieter, partially due to fixing the exhaust leaks that I had, but it made it a much deeper, and all around better sound. :nice:

Honestly, If you don't have access to a lift, dont get into this project unless you have done headers before. If anyone has any questions about them or the install, shoot me a PM anytime, there are several little tricks to getting some bolts off that would have saved me hours. I plan on having the car dynoed after the cams go in and will post the numbers as soon as i get them. Sorry for the rant, but I know there are alot of questions about these headers.

congrats man... i did mine last november with my dad.. took us 3 days then we got a leak on driver's side (was my dad's fault for hammering the gasket). So, I went back and redo the driver side myself with new ford gasket ($44  ) Took me 2 days to do that... pita.. no more leak now :D check out my site for pictures and stuff

I have them going on my Roush in Nov & have a shop thats going to do the install at a very good rate.
I have a little leaking, but it isn't at the header, thankfully! Nothing worse than having to start over from scratch. Hopefully I will get the patience to clean up the little leak i have now. Unfortunately, all the shops in town wanted $450+ :bs:

damn man, I always find something new that I want off of your car when i look at that site. I really like your ride :nice:

Another thing I wanted to ask about..Ever since I put on the new pulleys the car bogs really bad after starting it, only happens once in a while. Well after the headers it seems like it did it even worse. I mean, I didn't drive the car for 5 days, but I hope it doesn't make it do it all the time now..

I wouldn't worry too much. It was probably just from the car sitting that long. When mine sits for awhile, you can tell that the battery has weakened a little.
