Thanks again for all of the inputs on my bucking problem (posted 9/24). The mechanic that installed the kit mentioned that he backed - off the IAC screw about two turns on the BBK 65mm. What I did was turned it clockwise (closer to BBK factory setting) about 1-1/2 turns and then re-adjusted the idle speed for 800RPM. Now it's much more drivable then it was. Additionally, I was planning on buy a tweecer but the performance shop that I was going to let tune the car claims that for what it costs it really doesn't give you much more performance for the 5.0. Some of you are pretty fond of the tweecer so now I'm wondering just how good a "performance" shop this place is. The shop said that all they would do to tune my car with the new Trick Flow kit was adjust timing and fuel/air while testing on a dyno. By the way, I noticed that the engine likes to be at operating temp.(212) before it runs smooth, more so now then it did with the stock H/C/I.

95GT, Trick Flow H/C/I, UD Pulleys, MSD Ignition, MAC cold air, BBK 65mm T.B., 24# Injectors, 195LPH pump, BBK Fuel Press Reg, 3.55 rear, Flow Master dual chamber.

We have very similiar mods. I brought mine to a performance shop named Kauffman's in PA and they did the tuning for me.

Still not happy with the results though. I think I need to make a trip to Larocca's in NJ for a custom burned chip.

Anybody who thinks they're going to tune a H/C/I 95GT without a chip does not know what they're talking about. Whether it's a TwEECer, EEC Tuner, or some other chip, you need some kind of tuning device in order to make that thing run like stock, and get all the power from it that it has to give you.

You will notice that it's a bit more cold-blooded than a stock setup, even with a good tune, because the aluminum heads wick away heat very effectively. I only notice it when the temp outside is particularly chilly, and it smooths out after two or three minutes.

Your "performance" shop may need to be reconsidered.

A TwEECer can do everything imaginable except cook you dinner.

I agree with everything Dave has said. I tried putting a healthy cam into my 95 on the stock computer. It didn't like that at all...
