Looking forward to the Vert...

After spending the last 5 years driving my 99 GT vert, I can't imagine a car without one. I mentioned to my wife that if I see a new 05 I might be tempted to get a hardtop and not wait until next summer, and she laughed - she told me I would never be happy unless I got another vert. She's right!

If I remember, the concept had one, and for 2007 I heard all cars need one, is that correct?

It is for the 2007 calendar year, not model year. Basically, it is a roll-over protection requirement, which for a convertible, might be a roll-bar (but that isn't specified).

If you are asking that question, a vert probably isn't for you. Yes, it is slower, but by about as much as an AT to MT is. Which is to say, barely noticeable on the street. A vert is much more about cruising, not 10/10's driving.

I own a vert, thats why i was asking. I have an '03 6 and its pretty friggan slow. I'm definately getting the GT but i'm not sure if i want the vert or the coupe. i'm hoping the vert will take a pre-05 GT stock vs. stock
