A-D-X-Z Plan Question

 • Sponsors (?)

At this stage of the game. I doubt it, using a "plan" whether it is a V6 or GT model 05. Never hurts to try, not impossible though.

I wonder if there will be many GT's for sale sitting at the dealership this coming Jan. 05. V6's shouldn't be a problem buying unless you want IUP or the manual tranny

just my .02cents

there are different "Discount Plans" available to people who qualify. For example, I believe the A and X Plans are for family members of someone who worked for Ford.

My grandfather worked for Ford for 35 Years and I am eligable for an A Plan.

I don't know what the other two are for? I think the D plan is for dealers associates and the other one??? Maybe someone who has more knowledge of this can shed some light....

Below is Quoted text:

A plan is for current Ford(not dealerships) employees.
Z plan is for retired Ford employees.
Also these plans can be used by immediate family members of the employees.

D plan is for Ford dealership employees of Blue Oval Certified dealerships, that have been employeed more than 6 months.

X plan is for family and friends of Ford employees and if a person works for a company that is a supplier in someway of Ford. There is a long list that qualifies for this.

The pricing goes this way. A plan is determined by Ford and can be found on the dealers order sheet/invoice in a box labeled A plan. This price is the same for Z and D plan as well. It is typically 4% under invoice, although it might vary a few dollars either way.

X plan is figured this way: A plan price + 4% + $150.
Does anyone know when you can go to the dealership and get one of the Plan Prices without having to order and wait 6 weeks? If it's early Jan. then I will just wait and go to the dealership and buy it...

Thanks
This may be a stupid question, but if you're willing to wait til January why not order it to at least make sure it actually exists? You assume what you want will just be sitting there in Jan., I wouldn't count on that

So the big question is: How can Average Joe (in this case, let's say ME :D) get hooked up with an X Plan?

The even bigger question: Who can hook me up with an X Plan?

:rlaugh:

Just a few weeks ago, Ford just opened up their discount plans a bit. Employees can now have a few A-plans to give out too. Also, employees who "sell" 8 plan cars/trucks, get a (toy) GT car personally signed by Bill Ford as a recognition gift. Apparently, every sale counts, and Ford is trying to sell 300,000 plan vehicles.
