Am I the only one who has noticed the bizarre and unavoidable similarities between these two cars?
:rlaugh: :p

Call me crazy, but while I was going to class yesterday I saw a Z-34 Lumina and was reminded of just how similar the two cars are. I honestly find it strange beyond words that they almost follow the same body lines, but ya'll tell me what you think.

Uh...Other than the hood vents, I dont see anything that links the two. I think the new saleen has similar body lines to the Saleen S7, and looks similar, with that silver to the "Eleanor".

1st similarity = hood scoops
2nd similarity = each car has four wheels
3rd similarity = each car has an engine
:p
I see it somewhat, mostly the sideline the Saleen follows, but I think that's just coincidence.

First thing I noticed was the hood scoops, the next is the rear wing the looks like it was just ploped on the back end of both cars. The third thing I saw was the front aero kit. They very much resemble each other. The fourth would be the factory wheel on the red car.

I'm sorry if ya'll think I am smoking crack, but it is too funny how close they resemble each other. See them both in person and you will say the same thing.

Anyway, just some food for thought...but I bet you will give the ole Lumina a second look the next time you see one ;).

Ummmmm..... by your logic, Janet Reno and Jennifer Lopez look alike because they have a head, 2 arms, 2 legs, and tits. And both their names start with J. The hood vents are the ONLY thing. The ground effects share no resemblance, it's just that both cars have ground effects. Tons of cars have ground effects. Tons of cars have multi-spoke cast aluminum wheels. Tons of cars have rear spoilers. Totally ridiculous comparison, except for the hood vents (which you could actually argue that Saleen borrowed from the 67-68 Shelby, only turning them vertical instead of horizontal).

Come on lads, its called irony, he's joking. Don't be so serious, its only a car.

Wow, 20 posts and this guy is the only one to pick up on it...come on guys what are compentsating for. You don't all have to get so fluffed up about me making fun at a few very minor design cues that just happen to be sort of similar. I swear nobody can take a joke on the internet anymore, they all want to jump straight to making fun of people so they can start a flame war, and you know what it seems like it always the same type people too.
