Where they underrated??

I have a cam(f-303), shorties, o/r xpipe, borla catback, pullies, and k&n filter.

Put down 263 rwhp and 292 ft lbs at the tires?

To me, that seems kinda high for a otherwise stock cobra for that year. Stock intake, tb, heads, bottom end, smog pump, ac, everything.

13.8 @ 102 mph.

Adding ignition, tb, and nitrous, all today and tomorrow..then sunday heading to the track.

The 5.0L V8s in the 93-95 Cobras generally dyno around 220-225 rwhp, so yeah they were underrated making probably around 255-260 flywheel horsepower.

I've heard that they were some what under rated when i first got my car. Those are pretty good #'s that your putting down for what mods you have right now. Wat were you making at the flywheel? and how many miles does your car have on it?

I'm not sure how much I'm putting down at the fly wheel...I only have the dyno sheets.

Car has 84,000 miles on it.

Put a 70mm bbk throttle body on it today. Man. Made a difference from right before 4,000 rpm up untill right at 6,000 rpms. This car is amazing. I put 275/45/17 rrr drag radials, and I still can't hook up good in the top of 1st and into 2nd gear. I just do a punch from about 10-15 mph and step on it..just spins like crazy..then..I get out of it..then stomp on it some more(at this time doing about 20-25 mph) and it spins some..then hooks and I hit 2nd and it just spins some more...then hooks. I check the pressure in the tires. 26 and 27 lbs each. Maybe reacting to this colder weather???

My dr's wont hook at all (I have nitto's & bfg's) when its cold out. The rubber is soft, so it reacts much differently to cold weather than a normal all season tire does. Once last winter it was dry and I drove on the Nitto's when it was about 25* out. After my car sat outside for a couple hours as I drove off I could hear this sort of crackling noise from the rear of the car. I stopped, checked everything and nothing seemed out of order. Got back in and started to roll and it came back. I rolled down my window and drove real slow and realized my tires were making the noise. Ity sounded like they were made of hard plastic, like a big wheel. Once I drove on them for a couple minutes they warmed up and the sound went away.

And I would think 260rwhp would be good for low 13's @ ~104mph. :D
