Hey all. I am taking my '03 Laser Red Vert to a body shop to have all the wax stripped off and the fine scratches and spider webs rotary buffed out. There are no scratches that your fingernail can catch. Then they are going to apply a polish and finish it off with a coat of carnuba wax. They say the scrath removal is usually a 3 to 5 step process depending on the condition of the paint. My paint is georgous still, mainly because I don't drive my car in the rain or on wet roads, and it is garage kept. They said it will probably not need all the steps because of this. It is going to cost me between $150 and $200. They will also remove the little bit of curb rash on two of my rims for $25 - $40 each. Is all this a reasonable price? I don't want to try and do any of this myself. Too many horror stories about rotary buffers. :flag:
