I'm thinking about putting a 1.7L KB on my 2000 GT and thought some of you guys that are currently running it could offer your opinions. How was the installation? Is the kit really "complete" as advertised? The clean looking installation and low end torque is what got my interest with the KB. Thanks for any information.

It's as complete as any kit out there and the install although long is not bad due to the best instructions out of any supercharger out there.

I've had a procharger, 3 vortechs, a 1.7 KB, and now their 2.2 KB on this car and for my purposes the KB is a great choice.

Easy install (though lengthy), you need coolant, spark plugs, and fuel disconnect tool (unless you do it like I did and left the fuel rails connected and put them on in the engine compartment instead of on the ground). Also get some wire cutters and crimpers along w/ solder and a soldering iron for the most professional look when done (and reliable). Get some heat shrink tube to, they give you some but I bought some more anyways, I am anal when it comes to my car. You may also want to think about getting a little longer radiator hose (on my 01GT) it was a little short, I made it work but I don't like how tight the fit is. Good luck man

00GTDRVR...I just got done installing my KB kit. Read my first impression here: http://forums.stangnet.com/showthread.php?t=516148. The kit is awesome! It is very complete and very well engineered. Like the others said, you will only need these things: spark plugs, coolant/distilled water, solder/soldering iron, teflon tape, electrical tape, jack stands/jack, etc. Everything else is included ie. thermostat, injectors, boost a pump, wires, heat shrink, allen wrenches, etc.
