I'm putting a vortech on my 01 GT this weekend. I keep reading that to put a blower on any engine, I will need to build the bottom end. But the majority of people that have blowers don't seem to have that done when I read their sig's. Who has put a blower on their stang and not forged the internals? Have you guys had any problems yet? My current mods are, cams, mac catted pro chamber, american thunder flo's, H & R super sport springs, bilstein shocks and struts. Thanks for the info.

I ran as much as 440 rwhp on the stock bottom end for 7k miles and never had a problem. That's pushing it big time.

Motor can go boom any time with a blower though.

Most important thing to remember is to throw vortech's tune in the trash and have someone tune the car themselves on a dyno.

Stock internals on a 2v can handle up to 450hp. With that particular blower you should have no problems.

Edit: I could have sworn you said you were putting an S-trim. Either way you should have no problem so long as you aren't running too much psi. 9psi >= is perfect.
