I'm pretty sure it was a glass rear window. And I didn't notice if it had the pop-up rollover bars on it or not. Like I said I just happend to be coming back from lunch and happend to see it in the parking lot so I didn't have a lot of time to talk to the guy. It was at Taco Bell in Dundee, MI. Actually there were two convertibles there, there was a black one also with the tan top, but that one left and must have been getting lunch somewhere else. He told me that he would be testing a Cobra in the spring and he didn't hint at any problems within SVT so we'll see. He told me what motor and the HP that was expected but everyone probably know's that already eh?

ive heard speculations about the cobra but no definites!! what did the guy tell you??

Thanks for the pic's, car looks great. Being the owner of a 2001 vert myself I've always been partial toward convertibles. Never liked the tan colored top much but it still looks really good...

The guy told me the new Cobra is going to be a 5.4 L pushing 440 HP. I wish I would have had more time to ask some questions like, Will it be supercharged or N/A? If the 2000 Cobra R had 385 N/A, a supercharged 5.4 would push 440 HP with minimal boost I would think. We'll see I guess.

I cant wait to see the "HARDTOP CONVERTABLE" that is the word through ford. A dealer with "DEEP" family roots in FORD engineering said they're coming mid-late 2005. Im interested. The 400hp Gt is supposed to be out next year but dont know what kind it is (IE... S/C'd, 5.4L, Cobra???) This guy also said the SVT COBRA will not be out until 07... that will be unfortunate if it is an accurate statement. My stage 3 roush is on the way baby!!!!
