pull, getnly, take your time. If you possibly want to reuse them, i've heard people using fishing line to help take them off, if you just pull, you'll likely stretch them and the paint could be ruined. But if thats ok, like it was for me-i dont have any desire to keep them on-just pull slowly. Then i used WD40 to take off the excess sticky tape on the door panel.

buy some masking paper tape and tape up the paint around the strip to protect the paint. now run a hair dryer over an area, starting at the end and maybe heating up 6 inches~ dont heat up the paint to much just kind try to heat up the double sided tape behind the strip holding it on, slowly pull up on the end of the strip really slow, run the hair dryer under the strip a little bit and pull a bit and repeat this, just heat up the sticky tape where it meets the paint as you pull it up, you may have to use something plastic to get the pealing started.

just take your time.... thats the key and it will come off. once its off you will have residue from the sticky crap that you will need to get off. wax will cut if off... but there are faster ways to go about it, ill let someone else clue you in on that .... just to be safe i dont want to tell you to use something that will mess it up.

if i had to guess however i would use a little paint thinner or rubbing compound to get the sticky crap off just research first and use the right stuff.

once its clean wax the area really good until its blended perfectly in with the rest of the paint and your done.

Or... get a GT hood scoop, paint IT black and put it on there, and paint that spoiler black...

it REALLY needs to have those fugly door gaurds hanked off.... they just ruin the car.

I wouldn't remove them, ever been to the mall and seen some ding dong with a POS car just open the door and not give a hoot! well I have and it was my car the a-hole hit, put a nice little gash in the door guard, which without would have been a nice sized scratch/dent in my door. If I hadn't been walking between the rows and standing right there he'd have walked away like nothing happened.. You got a nice ride, but you can't watch over it 24/7.

So you prevent ugly dings that totally ruin the look of a car with...a big plastic strip that totally ruins the look of a car!

Sounds good to me. :nice:
