2003 MACH 1

Anything can happen, My average at the track is 13.6-13.8 and I can easily play with Mach1's anywhere and LS1's at least stop light to stop light.

My other car is a 2000 SS and with a couple bucks I have managed a 12.9 but that is with 100% conditions. I doubt I could run that 3 times in a row.

After buying my Mustang it is even easier to see that the driver makes up 80% of the performance of his car.

Thank ya everyone.!! With a little practice on driving.. i hope to beat the Ls1--He always talks **** about mustangs so if i don't win.. i will just save up for a procharger, and THEN there will be whooopag.--By the way what would a mach 1 run with the procharger-intercooled.. i heard something far fetched like a 11.8-9

actually think mid-11's

btw, if you can't drive, and he can, you're screwed. LS1's are a dog off the line, so you have to jump him and hope he doesn't pull you. Usually if I beat an LS1 with a good driver I have to kill him off the light and 60ft because they will reel you in by the end of the track. Most of my time slips vs. SS/TA they run a quicker ET but lose due to reaction time and 60ft...and no I'm not a good driver

Practice makes perfect!
Definitly work on your 60ft.

If it's an LT1 you will take it, but an LS1 you will have to fight for it. I only raced one LS1 when my car only had the cold air kit and welded in flows and we were side by side. If you can drive you will have a chance but like others said you need to get him out of the hole!!!

Yes,with a good hole shot off the line you should have a great chance
because LS1's aren't the best performer's off the line,but,are real monster's
up top.Good Luck Bro! :nice:

all i'll say is you should hope he is close to stock! i know of two ls-1's (98 t/a-02 z28) running 8.0's in the 1/8 and there both automatics! the 02 z28 only has a catback exhaust,3.42's,lid,and a tci 3500 stall converter.i'm a diehard ford fanatic, but with a few mod's those damn cars are SICK and i don't mean :puke: . with an 80 shot he went 7.33@93. i truly hope you win, just be prepared.
