2 Mach 1 questions

Is the Mach 1 2v or 4v? Also what is difference between between a stock 03-04 mach 1 and stock 03-04 cobra. Iv heard that it's all the same exept for the addition of the superchrger on the Cobra. Is this true? Thanks.

The Mach 1 has 4V. I can't name all the differences but beyond the supercharger the Cobra also has independent rear suspension while the Mach 1 has an alive setup.

-Mach 1 motor isn't forged like the Cobra motor to handle the boost from the Supercharger, also the Cobras block is made from Iron (i think) vs aluminum like the Mach 1s block.

-Cobra also has a 6 spd tranny vs 5 spd man. or 4 spd auto for the Mach.

I know the Mach has different cams than the 99/01 cobras but i am not sure about the 03/04 cobras.

The Mach 1 has Navi cams. Im not too sure, but I think the Cobra has better flowing heads.

Didn't Ford use the Cobra hood on the base '03 and '04 V6 models (clearing out the warehouses before the '05s ?)??? Basically, the Cobra hood came standard and you could upgrade to the GT hood as part of the Pony Package.

They used the '01 Cobra hood on the V6, not the '03 Cobra hood. The Mach does use a forged crank on the 5 speeds but the auto has an alum.

So is the difference between a gt and a mach 1 just the 4 v heads?

GT has 2v heads vs the mach1's 4v heads. the mach 1 has an aluminum block vs the GT's iron block. the mach 1 has 3.55 gears out back vs the GT's 3.27. seats are different in the mach, and the wheels are different. plus that shaker hood.
