Any tips for a idle/surge on SN95 with cam & AODE

Guys,

On my 306, I have already bumped the idle to 950 via a chip. I have opened the idle screw alittle. & I have no vacum leaks.

She still surges at idle and whenever I put the car into drive from park, she still wants to stall? If there a feature in the EEC that pulls timing whenever you put a AODE into drive/reverse?

Does anyone have any more tips for me to try? I have a E303 and AODE. She actually seems to run better when I unplug one of the small vacum lines. My fuel pressure is at 40lbs and my tiiming is at +14.

Thanks...

None that I know of.

I've seen quite a few threads on idle issues where peeps had some success with the following:

idle set screw
isc screw (if you still have one)
fuel pressure
give the pcm time to learn after those adjustments

I don't have the details or methods as I use a Tweecer for idle issues

but

Search those threads out as you have nothing to loose.

i say you get rid of the e303. nuthin but problems with mine and i always hear the same. there are a handful of people that can get it tuned decently but the majority of people still have idle problems with that e303. you can try messing around with the set idle screw and whatnot but i dont know about how perfect that is going to get it

On the 27th my 95 is going to Fastmotor sports to be dynoed on the mustang dyno because i am having the same problem they r also burning a chip for me , i have the B303 cam which came with may 345hp ford racing crate engine , MSD ignition , 70mm tb , 73mm maf rpm jr upper and lower intake , new tps and iac , 410 gears , flowmaster exhaust with off road h-pipe and BBK adj fuel pressure reg . i will let everyone know how well it goes .

I had a bad idle issue with the F cam I used to run but I installed a 93 IAC and that cured it up rather well. If ya want to hear a vid of my car idling like stock with the exception of the "lump" PM me with your email and I will send it to ya.

Anyone think a re-burn of the chip can fix the stalling from Park to Drive/Reverse?

Ok is the 950 set for idle in drive or idle in park. I say this because most autos have 2 idle rpms it is usually 950 for idlw in park and something around 750 for idle in drive/rev. I have read where setting them both to 950 helps alot.

Let me know how you like that crate engine.... I'm leaning that way next year and am concerned about getting it tuned in. :(

Update,
I installed a new TPS and IAC. She seems to be fixed at the moment. No surging, and the stalling from Park to drive seems to be gone.

However I noticed something wierd with the TPS. I have my idle set open allittle so my TPS is set at 1.05v with the ignition turned on, car off.

When I start the car, the voltage jumps to 1.10v and stays their. It won't drop back to 1.05v.

Has anyone else here noticed that on their cars?
