here are some pics of my CHP 5.1L stroker kit. I was so supprised that MM&FF did an article about this stroker kit. i am so excited. I can't wait to have my car back with the KB 9psi on. So we can compare the power out put of the stroker kit between MM&FF Vortech and my KB
Here it is:

Has anyone used this combo i an NA application yet? Seems like a lot cheaper alternative to 324" aluminum big bore strokers. Any foreseeable problems with increasing the bore this much on an iron block? How is coast high's reputation with modular stuff? Any guesses on what this combo might make with high compression, p&p'd SVO heads, big NA cams, SVO intake, and all the other usual goodies?

I have no idea what the bore size is. Boring any modular block more than .030 is not a good idea.

Check MM&FF of December, they have the whole article about the 5.1L stroker kit that they have on their project car called Blue Ice.
This is from their website:
Everyone's been talking about them for years. Now CHP is the first to produce an affordable stroker for the Ford "Mod Motor". Based on a 3.625 bore in an iron block and an offset ground, 3.750 stroke crankshaft the CHP "Street Fighter" delivers 310 cubic inches. That's 29 cubic inches more than the stock 281!

i'm using it n/a with all the goodies. mine's the 9.4:1 compression so i can put a blower on it later. even the lower compression version is pretty fast. it hasn't been dynoed yet but it's a good deal more powerful than my friend's stock vette.

Nice….those look like Eagle rods at first glance? And full floating pistons, judging by the brass bushing at the piston end. Just got my non-stroker set-up with Diamond 19cc dished pistons and Manley forged rods myself. I’m getting stoked too….although my 9psi is an AED, not putting out quite the power of a KB. :nice:
