Not a single problem here. If i remember correctly the vents are between the radiator and the coil packs. You might get a little watter on the coil packs, but nothing to worry about, they are sealed.

Tell that to my coil packs, i dont think they ever got the "sealed" memo...
After washing my engine last year water got into the plugs and made my cylinders missfire. Wasnt fun, the car eventually threw codes after it jerked around on the street.. ended up two of my coilpacks went bad :nonono:

 Every time i was my engine bay water gets down into the spark plug holes and it misses. But ever since i put the hood on i have driven though plenty of rain storms, even the last troppical storm that came though Baltimore a couple of months ago and have never had a problem

Hmm where do you park your car? is it parked outside? or inside a garage?
I bet if the car was parked outside and it rained, the sitting water would bother the engine...

Outside, all the time. It is only parked in a garage when i leave the country and the only time i dont drive it is when it snows.

i cant imagine it causing a problem. im thinking of it this way- someone buys a saleen fro what 35000? i think they should expect to be able to drive there car in the rain. not everyone has a garage so the car might also have to be parked outside in the rain, sleet, snow, etc. if there hoods arent made to withstand these basic weather elements i cant imagine that they would sell it. dont you think a lot of people would come back in under warantee and complain- hey my car sucks now and its yourhoods fault.
