Hello
I was wondering if anyone can help me out? I want to lower my 98 mustang convertible, but i was wondering which springs i be better off with the steeda or the eibach's? Also would it be necessary to change struts and shocks too? Im in college so I dont have the big of an income to spend on the pony.
Any information would be great thanks.

It depends whether you want the car to be "slammed" or to handle good. If it's the mad tight lowered look you're going for, get whatever springs are cheapest and don't worry about the shocks/struts. I you want it to handle good, go with the Eibach prokit and some adjustable KYB struts/shocks at the very least. Or save your money until you can afford Bilstein struts/ shocks (the only time the struts will be cheaper than the shocks) and H&R progressive rate springs.

Also, from the road racing guys I've talked to. The only good thing Seeda makes is the 5-link rear suspension. Unless you need billet door lock buttons or chrome coilpack covers etc. Oh, the Tri-ax shifter is supposed to be good to. Also, for the record, both the five liink and the tri-ax shifter were designs purchased by steeda, not engineered by them. I don't know how often tey do that sort of thing, but I havn't been to impressed by anything I've heard about from Steeda.

springs, etc

there has been some talk here that if you lower the car less than 1.2" you don't have to get new shocks and struts. but someone said that they strongly recommended it. if i were to get the frpp "c" springs, which lower the car about an inch, would i be ok without getting new shocks and struts? are they easy to install? costly? if you still recommend that i get new shocks and struts, would i be ok to wait 6 months or so after installing the new springs? what would this do to the ride? thanks a lot!

Thanks for the info... I Think I will go with Ford Racing C springs and Tokico shocks or struts. Would that be a good setup? I dont want the Stang to be lowered that much because im adding the Cervinis bumper kit and that front bumper is kinda lower as well..any commets or advice gladly accepted?
Thanks
