Mini Disc players for Mustangs

  • Sponsors (?)

I know they were invented because I bought a couple for my work place. I'm just not certain they were installed as a factory option in the Mustang. I know they were available for other Ford models. I was just wondering if there would be much demand for them in Mustangs if they hooked up just like the CD player does, using the same harness.
Thanks for the reply.

I use one in my car occasionally along with an i-Pod. My MD is the blue piece under the radio.

Jr's car is more technical than a flight simulator. Anyone that is not familiar with the stuff would say he has a game boy advanced mounted to his dash, more gauges than any space shuttle, and with all this its still sporting old school Kenwood Excelon CD player. Dude Its safe to say Its prolly more comfortable for you in the drivers seat of your car than in a recliner in front of your TV at home. You truely have a car most stangnetters can only dream about.

:rlaugh: :rlaugh: Yeah that deck is about 5 years old. Crazy how stuff goes out of style so quickly these days as technology advances.

D Hook man I see you're from Omaha. Wow man I was born there and lived there up until about 3 years ago. Nice to see a fellow Cornhusker around here :nice:

Anyways D-Hook (and everyone else) look what I found when I was cruising around the classfieds...guess they WERE (dealer installed) option.

Eric: Yeah, good to hear from someone else who understands the whole Big Red thing. I'm afraid the season hasn't been too good; lots of records went down this year. No bowl game (hasn't happened since '61) and no winning season. But we'll be back. Just a little rebuilding needed. That and a new A/D. What made you leave Omaha?

Good to hear the mini disc player is interchangeable with the CD player. It should be an easy swap if anyone wanted to do it.

I'm a huge NU fan as if my whole family. Drew around here (huskerpower) is too and he's cool, I talk to him quite often. This season definetly was not a good one, but I see good things on the horizon. I dunno if they are true or not but the rumors around people in the university is that Solich got some student/nurse or something pregnant and that's the real reason he was asked to resign, not because of the football.

I only left NU because the family decided to go (15 years old at the time) and my dad is diabetic and the cold was just too much for him.

Yes, the mini disc and the CD player are definetly direct swap-ins, using the same harness and all. So now I've got a brand new factory mini disc for sale, if anyone needs one.

Yeah, there's lots of rumors flying around up here but no one knows anything for sure. After having Osborne for so many years, it's hard for anyone to imagine something like that going on in the program. But I guess you never know. Hopefully the team will continue to rebuild over the off season and start the streak back up.
