I am thinking of adding a combo alarm and remote start system, but the one I really like says for automatics only.....is there a way to retro fit to make it work? thanks......
You can hook it up, u just have to bypass the clutch switch so it will remote start, only thing is you must remember to leave the car out of gear, cause if you dont your car is rolling forward, There are some companies that make a universal nuetral saftey switch, you could get one of those as well, most shops will not install a remote start on a 5 speed though so you will probally have to do it yourself. Good luck danCivicEater said:I am thinking of adding a combo alarm and remote start system, but the one I really like says for automatics only.....is there a way to retro fit to make it work? thanks......

In mine i installed a toggle so i could disable it if i needed and also tied it into the park brake so i would not be able to start it unless the park brake was up, usually i was good about taking it out of gear, but the risk still exists of hitting someone or another car or something, up to you though since it is your car. Good luck Dan
I did not put it on my own car but yes I have used it and there is no way to remote start your car and have it drive off, so if you are worried i highly reccomend it.
