Hey guys, I'm new to these forums but don't get me wrong I am a huge car nut. I've got an 02 GT (aode... not my choice) and have finally gotten around to picking up a catback exhaust kit that I can afford, seeing as how I'm in college and broke. I have heard that SLP is new to the mustang scene but a long time camaro dealer... anything good about this? I've read some articles and stuff online... basically so far I've gathered that its louder than flowmaster 40's b/c it's got no baffles,.. heck it has no muffler just a straight pipe and doesn't get too loud until you want it to.

But what I really came here to ask about was installation. I've only done a few mods to my car...if you can call them mods - k&n airfilter, industial white xenon strobe lights in headlights, those blue "hid" imitation bulbs, painted calipers red, painted inside plastic to match rest of car (silver) as well as an fm modulator to use with my ipod....

ANYWAYS can this be done with two ghetto jacks in my driveway? or should i shell out some change on those big plastic ramps or even pay to get jiffylube or brake check to do it for me?

I'm bringing my car from home (houston) up to atlanta and I need to get it Ford maintananced as well as replace the currently bald nitto 555's its wearing, should I do my exhaust before that or after.... basically would Ford care if i popped a new exhaust on? My parents went crazy and got 7 year extended warranty when they bought it, being all skeptical of american cars being reliable.

Thanks guys, any info will be of help. I know you get these kinds of posts ALL the time but it sure means a lot to me. But if you EVER need computer help, lol, hit me up

p.s. i got this exhaust to TRY :bang: to keep pace with my friend's 04 subie wrx sti which is wickedly fast... he's only got a bov, cai, and some small crap (he claims 380bhp) but i've been in that car while he has served a few z06's and a 911 turbo

Yeah, you can do it in the driveway with some jack stands. Make sure to support the frame so the axle can drop. And plan on cutting the tailpipes off the mufflers. I would wait until after the dealer visit to put the cat-back on. Just in case.

well since you are still going to have your stock H pipe in there it wont be that loud.
you can only hear the beuty of a catback once you take those damm 4 restricting cats OFF!
SLP with any tyoe of X/H/Prochamber sounds like a freaking MONSTER!
Oh yeah if your friend can beat z06's and 911's minus well just save your gas there is no way you can beat him unless you really put some money/time in your car which will void your warranty.
Tip see if you can cancel your warranty and with that extra cash buy some go fast mods :D

I put mine on in like 20 min it is really simple, takes longer to cut the old pipes off. You wont be disapointed it sounds really good, and the tips look better than a lot of other after market exhaust.
