Coil overs means the shock is inside the coil
It's trickier and usually requires special tools

I think your set-up is pretty different than a Fox
I think you need different spring compresser tools for the front and rear
For some reason I was thinking it was set up like a Fox body
---Maybe I was thinking Capri lol
I was going to suggest you swinging over or me popping by to switch those out (I'm in CT)
But the Coug is pretty different and I'm not familier with that set-up

I don't use a suspension shop per say, I usually do mostly my own work, but I would trust Denvir Tire in Old Saybrook for that sort of work
Bob is a straightforward guy, and his brain doesn't explode if you tell him you have caster/camber plates and you want your alignment to different specs than the computer says your car should be

Well, a buddy of mine who had a Tbird (89-97) same as Cougar.
Make a long story short...the springs were from his car and he installed them himself on his tbird. Got rid of the tbird, asked if I wanted them for the Cougar. We began to install the springs, and the upper control arm ball joint would not separate, so we were like forget this, didnt want to have to replace the whole control arm. They just got replaed a few months ago. So then we stopped, because we didn't want to damage anything.
In the meantime, I havent found a place that wants to install them. One place was going to, but since they werent in a box with instructions he said no.

Well I know the fronts are coil overs, I'm not sure of the rear though.

What part of CT are you at, like whats the largest town nearest you?
For me the closest I would have to say is New Haven.

Didja have the ball joint separator tool, the pickle fork?
You'd need one for that

Boy nobody'll touchem huh?
I'll ask Bob this week if he'd do it
Maybe it's too far for you but now I want to know what he says

I'm in Old Saybrook
I'm at the mouth of the CT River
I call it corner of River and Ocean, Rustville USA
New Haven's about 30min west, New London's about 20min east, and CT9 will take me north to Middletown in about 20min
