Snow Belt!
I know this is going to sound weird, and even offend some.

I drive my Mustang purely for weekend enjoyment. My '02GT Vert has 5K miles on it and you could eat off the chassis (never seen rain).

Since I barely drive this extra car, I would really like it to be something of "historical" significance.

One car the I have always been attracted to is the '00 Cobra R. It has one major problem for me however.......no rear seat.

Since the reason that this "extra" car even exists is the grace of my wife who told me I could buy a "toy" car as long as it had rear seat so that we could use it as a family to go on weekend drives.

Hence the question......

Could I put a rear seat into a '00 Cobra R, with seatbelts, etc.... in a way that it could be removed in the future? I would want to be able to return the car to stock, as I think a Cobra R with a rear seat would lower it's desireability as well as value.

Obviously an '03-'04 Cobra would be an option, but think that they will hold less significance "historically". Simply too many built............... (it may still be the best option, however, since I could go with a Vert).

I don't think it would be that hard to do....

Yea you should be able to do...as you're essentially reversing the rear seat delete process. I put a rear seat delete in and it wouldn't be hard to put hte regular seat back. You'll just need the cushions, the back part, some clips, and the seat belts. I'm sure all the holes and threads to hook up the original seat are already in the car since it is a mustang and all.
