Exhaust and reccomendations on modifying 2005 mustang

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I just got a black gt stang w/ red int. 6spd and the only thing missing on this beauty in my opionion is the exhaust tips...but i would probably change the whole exhaust with cat-back or something but i was wondering if anyone knew of a better way to start modifying this car or if i would eventually turbocharge it if that would make a difference....but if i had new exhaust then i would probably supercharge it...any advice would be very helpful

So you got it pretty quick, or did you? :bs:
And how much did they charge you for the 6spd?
I mean you did just post this right sullygtstang

you ordered today and you are getting it in two weeks? How?

i live near the L.A. area, we always have shipments coming here...they're probably getting mine from another dealer close by or something. but yeah the lady said just come back in 2 weeks are ur car will be waiting for u. :spot:

3Stangs your in the Orlando area right? What dealer did you order from and what kind of price? I'm north of Orlando in Deltona. I went ot Courtesy Ford in sanford first but they were greedy and were adding $2600 to the MSRP, they wouldnt even let me order my car on the xplan. They said come back at the end of the year when we have more cars then we might honor xplan. I went to Greenway Ford and they let me order on the xplan, which amounts to $2000.00 0ff MRSP, basicly invoice.

I ordered a torch red 5sp GT premium pkg, iup, bullit rims, med parchment leather interior, shaker 500, on Nov2. I got a build date of Dec 2. I guess I dont have much chance of getting it before Christmas then or maybeI do?

Hey Runfox, I am in Deltona also, small world. I will be ordering my Mustang right after the first of January also. I had asked the Ford dealer in Sanford about x-plan and they said no also. I am glad to hear about Greenway Ford, did you have anyone in particular that was good to deal with there?

Yeah Im in Kissimmee and let me tell you I tried to deal with every dealership around, Greenway, Tropical, Sunstate, etc. I got the best deal at Jarrett-Gordon Ford. Its right off of exit #55 on I-4. The guy I dealt with is Bill Wood, great guy and didnt give me the run around.

What is DORA?

Your color and interior combo sounds great man. I am ordering mine soon and was wondering if they give you a rough date of arrivial when you order?

I ordered 12/6

Congrats! I ordered a V-6 Stang for my wife on Monday. I was getting her a loaded GT, until she found out the pony emblem and sports stripes only came on the V-6. So she changed her mind and I ordered her the V-6 Premium. I didn't suggest changing emblems or aftermarket stripes. So I saved about $5500! :)

Ordered Torch Red, Charcoal leather interior, Auto tranny, sports pkg, IUP,ABS,Side Airbags, active anti-theft and wheel locks. Total X-plan price was $22150.63

Semper fi,
Clay

What is DORA?

I was wondering the same thing, so I did a search and found the answer and some additional info....

"DORA"… Dealer Order Receipt Acknowledgement
In approximately one week, the dealership should receive an order confirmation from Ford. At that time a four-digit tracking number is assigned to your order. Write that number down should you have to work with another ordering agent to track status at this early phase of the process. You still should be able to make changes in the order but beware the wrath of the dealership. If you change your order, you may have to go back to the previous step and reset the order clock.

Lock-In Date and VIN Generation
Approximately two weeks after the "DORA", Ford locks-in the order. From this point forward, NO CHANGES ARE ALLOWED. Also a "VIN" or vehicle identification number is assigned. They should also provide you with a "build date" and "expected delivery date". These vehicles are popular so delivery dates can extend out 10-14 weeks from the lock-in, although 6-10 weeks is more typical. Also, the dealer should be informed of the transportation method from the plant in Louisville, KY to your location. As always, take notes for later reference. You may also want to set in motion the financial process for purchasing the vehicle.

Vehicle Delivery, Acceptance and Payment
The dealership will inform you when the vehicle has arrived on their lot. Inspect the vehicle and verify that your car arrived per your order specifications. Hopefully you will not experience any complicating problems. However, errors do occur so be prepared to resolve these items with your dealer representative. Also, final payment is due. You will receive credit for the initial "hold check". It would be wise to have all your financial matters in order before delivery day. You do not want to complicate the closing process with not having made prior arrangements for financing or cash purchase.
