turn it to 'run', push the button in and pop it out. install new one and reverse steps. :)

good luck.

it is - post back if something does not go well. if you look at your new switch, you should find a little 'push button' - find it on your old switch and you are good.

good luck.

Just a heads up. The lock may not be bad. It could be the actual ignition switch. When my ignition switch went bad, the first symptom was intermittent turn signals and fan operation. I replaced the lock, thinking this would do it. A month or so later, I had the same problems plus, if I jiggled the key a little harder, the car would die. I replaced the ignition switch and have had no more problems at all. Good luck.

well for now my problems have gone away. the key doesn't wiggle anymore and the car doesn't turn off. but you're right about my ignition switch. i did notice that it's going to need replacing as well. the plastic part is separating from the metal part. if i pull down on it just a little it cuts off the power. it looks rather simple to replace so i think i'll be doing that next. thanks for the heads up though!
