some dealers start at 10
since in theory: these numbers help in some part for ford to determine what cars get built first.......80 can never be good....

Have you questioned why on Earth you are a 99 and now a 26? I have placed many orders for customers including one on the Wed before turkeyday, and he already has a build date of 12/13.
Are you on a plan price? Maybe negotiated a price? If so the dealer may have left you that priority so they can sell the others first.

My 99 went to 26 after they received my down payment and got a few previous orders completed.(That is what I was told anyway) Now I am so deep in time with these guys I am kind of nervous about cancelling the deal and going with someone local. Sux being me right now. I have been to many local dealers here and have seen no less then 12 GT's. I did get to test drive one. But that only made me more anxious...Got any ideas for me? When I call Ford direct my status is clean and unscheduled.

I have been on clean and unscheduled for nearly 10 weeks. Maybe your lower priority will work. But I thought the same when I was priority 26. Been here for at least 5 weeks and still no VIN number or build date. All I can say is be patient and dont expect things to start moving anytime soon. Especially since it is nearing the holidays. If you do get a VIN and then a build date then thats great BUT dont get yor hopes up... Good luck!

Yes, it must be a small dealer. I ordered out of state. I thought I was getting a good deal at $50 over invoice. But as you might guess I am having second thoughts. I have been thinking about cancelling and paying a little more but I am afraid I would start my wait all over again...Decisions, decisions...
StangCrazy, I ordered mine on the same day as you and I was given a priority 20. I was also told to expect a 10 week wait as ford has a holiday shutdown between XMas and New Years. So im guessing Mid February if im lucky. I called the dealer today and requested my DORA and it is being mailed to me, should have it by Friday and hopefully my priority # will change for the better. Your price is your problem! The dealer has you on very low priority due to you price. Why would they rush yours hear in front of another unit to sell it to you $50 over invoice (that is their thoughts I am sure).
What most of you guys do not realize is that the IUP is what is holding up the majority of the orders, and the dora can say clean and unschedualed.
Just checked the order status of another customer of mine, ordered the 11/16 build date 12/6 (actually built 12/3) and should be here before xmas. I don't know why all of you are having problems, but I question do all of you have money on your cars? If not, what the dealer may have done is put your name on one of the units thay may be coming in as their inventory.
