A caliper painting kit? Heh-heh....ahhhhh....America.

Sorry, just don't understand that.

My guess is the paint SHOULD be fine. I just used 'high heat' spray paint ala Pep-Boys!

well just wanted to make sure it withstood the heat. yeah dont worry i got it off ebay for half the price of retail. :nice:

I used the G2 paint kit 2 weeks ago. looks nice. I did mine because the grey was ugly with my new wheels. Painted mine black. Taping off the COBRA letters was a pain. You have to pull the masking tape off while the paint is still wet. good luck.

You simply paint the whole caliper, then use some fine sandpaper and carefully take the paint off the raised "Cobra" letters...takes 2 minutes and looks better than new. I also used the High Temp engine paint, 3-coats red, 2 coats clear. I had the calipers off the car at the time which made it a snap.

I used the Duplicolor Metal-Cast paint to do my brakes. The color almost matches the Cobra perfectly and it looks better having the calipers matching the paint. I masked off the "COBRA" with masking tape then removed and sprayed on the high-temp gloss clear.

I did the same thing, but I just used model paint.

Heat is not an issue with callipers....everyone thinks it is, but it's not.

Model paint worked for me.

The sand paper is the ****zle on the letters...made them look new again.
