I just bought a mineral grey '03 vert. w/26,000 miles totally stock just 3 weeks ago and have already built in the following mods (see below)--all done professionally. Problem is I'm 65 and the DC traffic is killing me. I'm already limping after 2 weeks of driving that car in traffic w/the 75 lb clutch (arthritis in knee). I'm thinking of switching out the 6-speed for an auto. Question is what tranny would make the best swap. Will the new 5-speed auto from the '05 GT handle my estimated 500 rwhp? Should I go w/a Lightning 4-speed auto or try to beef up the new 5-speed? With the auto also thinking of adding 50 shot n2o and/or Snow methanol/water cooling kit. I've still got some wheel hop and a little fish tailing in 2nd. Intended use street only (except to doc et's at strip.
