I am going to install a set of BBK LTs on my 2000 gt.I was wondering what would be a good hedder gasket to use.Ford wants $28.60 a piece for manifold gaskets. Will they work? I see Percy sells deadsoft alum gaskets for $40. Has anyone out there tried them? One more question. Do you have to remove the studs in the heads and use the bolts or can you use them? THANKS

The Percy's gaskets are good. I currently have them and have had them on other cars.

Believe it or not, on Modular Depot the Fel-Pro manifold gaskets have gotten favorable reviews from a few people. They are dirt cheap from your local Autozone, etc.

As far as the studs, I would reuse them and not the bolts that come with the headers. The only, and I mean ONLY way I would not reuse the studs is if I pulled the K-member out and had enough room that I could get a set of Stage 8 locking bolts on the car. I had a set on my old Mopar small-block and they were nice.

Thanks for the help. Anyone else have any input?

I just installed the same headers this past weekend.. I reused the stock studs because i was told that it was the best option. I used the bbk gaskets because everyone i talked to in town said they looked like a good gasket. After going through all that work i really wish i would have got something better.. I hear good things about the bassani gaskets...
If you have access to an engine hoist i would highly recommend using it with the floor jack to jack the engine up and down during the installed. That what i did and it really seemed to help a lot!! Have fun installing them!
