Sear's BLOWS!!!!!!

they said it was going to be about 40 bucks if that stud broke, they didnt even try with a lug-wrench either. just kept ****ing with the impact-wrench.

And when he said it was going to be 40 bucks, he had a big-ass ugly grin on his face.

I asked one of the tirechangers how much they make and he said $5.50+commission, so commission must not be too bad.

Welcome to business....businesses are out to make money. If they have to fix something they didnt mess up, they make money. And Im sure the salesperson was excited to get that $0.025 to make that phone call he has been saving up for :D

They make comission off of the job, not the price. For example, if they have to change out 4 tires, they make a set amount. When they balance tires, they get a set amount....etc etc. For a stud replacement, they make about $3.00. Make no mistake, tire changers that work for Sears dont exactly rake it in. Average tire changers that bust ass for two weeks probably bring home about $800 every two weeks, and thats probably a high estimate.

sad thing about sears mechanic's, is that most of them are just guy's off the street trying to earn a livin....they are not ase or anything, sears couldn't afford to pay for real mechanic's anymore......i feel terrible for ya bro, hope they didn't damage any of your lug bolts or anything, running the gun in the wrong direction or something........hotwheels

I went there once to have some tires installed. They stripped my wheel lock and forgot to tighten one of my lug nuts. The hardware guys and the tools are first rate, the service end needs help. Just like Wyominghotwheel said. I used to go there and the service was great, the guys were great. I turn around, and they are all 20 years old, just out of high school and have no clue what they're doing. Hopefully KMart cans the jerk that came up with that corporate plan.
