I have a mineral grey Gt on order. Plan to put silver shelby racing stripes on it. My friends say I should go with black or white instead.

What do you guys think???

maybe its just me...but i think the black stripes would look awsome dark ext. with even darker stripes would give it a hardcore look (scares people lol  ) if thats what ur goin for!

Def stay with the silver. Motor trend had a gray w/silver stripes in it. Looked awesome. Hold your ground!!!

Found that article on their website. Agree it looks awesome, interesting reading too, but is it mineral grey? It looks more like graphite grey? I also love those wheels, too bad they didn't make production.

426H,
wait until you see mineral grey in person in direct sunlight..... you might not want to put stripes on at all. i was dead-set on that colour too, but when i saw it is person, it has way too much beige/tan in it and will not look good with any stripe, except maybe black. you might be better off without stripes with that colour.

don't get me wrong, its a sweet colour, but white or silver stripes will not suit the colour because of the brown tones that are visible in direct sunlight.

i think this guy is bang on

this guy is right about mineral gray, i dont think you want to put stripes on it, it is just the wrong color for doing it.every color will be not right... the color is strong on its own.

I kind of like that Mineral Gray color too, but as mentioned, it isn't as much a true gray as the previous year's DSG color.

Possibly, stripes also in a light brown (beige) tone would look better than silver. Maybe the Arizona Beige color used on the 40th Anniversary Package?

I agree, I had MG on order then I saw one in person. Lots of tan/beige mix. Depends on the sunlight. Dont think stripes will work with it.

After seeing it and then seeing Redfire I changed my order to Redfire.

I have a Mineral Grey, and I would say either that Arizona Beige color somebody mentioned or no stripes at all. First I wanted black stripes, than I wanted silver stripes, then I just realized that those don't mesh well with this car. It is a bad a$$ color... don't get me wrong. I love it. It looks more tanny/browny though a lot of the time. And blacks and silvers and greys work with grey, but not with brown. I've decided not stripe it.
