Someone please tell me what some reasons are that would keep the car from getting spark at the coil

thinks we have tried this morning since i posted last

dist. out of my car.....
ignition module
have power to the coil on both wires? is that wrong.....should it be only one wire....??????????????

still not getting any spark at the coil......

Someone help.........

no spark at the coil.........we swapped an intak onto the car.......but didn't remove anything other than the dist......we tried parts off of a running car........

parts we took off running car to try on this are

coil
distributor
ignition module
CCRM

things haven't tried but don't know if they will help or not are the computer..........don't know if that will tell the car not to start......we have power at the wires to coil as normal........

battery is fully charged all connections, including grounds etc are good......i have never had a problem like this that we couldn't solve within a couple of hours......we have been fiddling and trying everythign that comes to mind......since 3 pm yesterday..........:nonono:

someon come up with a solution PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Are there any fuses that are related to the ignition, i checked the fuse panel etc, and i didn't notice anything......ami missing something here.......

BTW this is on a 94 cobra.....

thanks for help in advance

his is a cobra......j4j1, and mine is a 5sp gt....t4m0.....i don't believe the two computers will interchange......we talked to a ford tech today......he said it is a ground somewhere....

Mine did the same thing...It was the Magneto inside the distributor. I'm putting my money on that. Take the distributor apart (mechanic) and replace it. Dude I replaced everything..nothing worked. Replaced the Magneto and it fired right up

we have covered that by putting a known good dist. in the car.........

we have tried everything every mechanic etc. has told us to..........ran new grounds, checked existing grounds etc......

we get power to the coil, but no spark from the coil upon turning the ignition over........i have never even heard of something like this........as stated before we have tried

ccrm
ignition module
other battery
new grounds
checking all grounds
Diff. distributor
fuses relays.....you could tell they weren't blown but we replaced them anyway.....lol

everything short of the computer, but we have 12v at the injectors which by the books tells us the computer is fine....????

 someone come up with something, anything, Does anyone think it could have anything to do with the neutral safety switch......it will spin over all day but won't spark for ****......

all the people on here, corral, 5.0 tech, and everywhere else and nobody has came up with anything that fixed it yet..........

thanks for any who have tried to help and those that will still try .......

I would still switch them out just to see if you can get spark back. Not to try and make it run right just to see if you can rule out the puter as the culprit. Hell you have pretty much looked/changed everything else why not give it a shot.

don't really want to fry my computer.......also i done a test recommended by mechanics to test the computer.....test for power on the injectors.....and i had power so they said that couldn't be it.....

anyhow  i am lost........

thanks for the suggestion anyhow....

Jason, the NSS is a starting interlock device. it either allows the car to crank or not crank. if the car cranks when it should, but wont fire for one reason or another, the NSS is fine.

are you sure the fusible link for the ignition is alright (if you have one - foxes do).

good luck.

Here's some TFI tests you can try. These are for a 93 engine but I don't think Ford changed anything for 94/95.

1. Check between Distributor base and Engine block - Should be less then 2 ohms.

2. Key off, disconnect TFI connector. Measure voltage at vehicle harness connector between START and distributor base - crank engine - should be 8-10 volts

3. Key off, disconnect TFI connector. Measure voltage at vehicle harness connector between TFI PWR and distributor base - Key ON - should be battery voltage.

4. TFI connector connected - Backprobe EEC 60-pin connector at pin 56 (PIP) with DVOM or LED test lamp, and crank engine - Should have 3-6 volts or LED should blink.

5.TFI connector connected - Backprobe TFI connector connector at SPOUT with DVOM or LED test lamp, and crank engine - Should have 3-6 volts or LED should blink.

Gotta be something to do with you changing the intake. Its most likely something simple like an open wire or one that is shorted to ground or maybe an open in a wiring connector. Look at all of the wires you disturbed during the intake swap.

sounds simmilar to a problem I had. one late night i was driving home and the engine just sputtered and died while i was in gear. I spent a good half hour in the dark trying to find the problem. finally i went to check the rotor and the wire connection for the distributer had come loose. I know yours didn't come loose but check that connection and make sure nothing is wrong w/it.

don't know if this will help you at all.

GOOD LUCK!
