DC says there is no market for two door cars

I guess we will never see the return of the challenger, but on the other hand if that stratus was retro styled like the old challenger and offered rear drive and a hemi, you might just sell quite a few. There are still lots of people who bleed mopar. I had one of those stratus R/T coupes at one time, it was a good car but it was front wheel drive and not impervious to telephone poles.

They are building a 4-door Charger. :fuss: Please tell me it's a joke someone? :(

They are probably right, the market for coupes is small.
Look at the GTO. 13.2s, 6-speed, under $30K, and yet
they do not sell. I know people will argue the looks, but
I firmly believe that's not the problem. Ugly cars sell, I
see them all over the streets. Coupes do not sell, I say.
(Yes, the Mustang is the exception to that coupe rule.)

The GTO won't sell in volume because it looks like every other Sunfire/Grand Am GT that Pontiac makes. I know it is fast but it lacks personality. The Sebrings don't sell because they don't inspire anyone with there looks either. The Mustang has personality in spades plus decent performance so it will do quite well as a v6 or a v8. Plus, people envision that in the future years Ford will improve on both the looks and performance as they have in past mustangs.

I guess they were looking at the sales figures for the GTO or something. Anyway, looks like no RWD V8 2 door vehicles will be coming out of DC anytime soon, which just means less competition for the Mustang... :nonono:

Don't complain to us, you're the Crysler fan on this site. You won't get any sympathy from me, but maybe there are some people over on DCX sites that will cry in their beer with you. :rlaugh:

Besides the Crossfire, someone needs to remind DCX that it's time to pull the plug on the C series dr coupes, the CL-500 & CL600 2 door coupes, CLK, SL & SLK 2 door convertibles.

Does this mean we can expect a Viper Sedan in the future, or maybe a 5-door hatchback? An SRT 10/5D maybe??

No, it just means that Trevor Creed is worse than a politician in terms of doing a 180 in his speeches, from one day to another. When the Crossfire came out, he claimed 2 doors was all Chrysler's future.
