So I read a lot of good things about Quick and Easy Wash over at Autopia.org
I ended up ordering some last week and tried it tonight. Wow, it really amazed me and I doubt I'll ever wash my car in a different way.

It has no suds, it only requires 1 bucket of water, and 2 or 3 microfiber towels. I did my whole car (rims too) with 3 mf towels. I parked my car in the garage, filled up 2 buckets. 1 for rinsing the dirty towel and one with 1 ounce of QEW. Then I just went ahead and wiped the car with a QEW dipped towel.

At first I was worried about all the dirt on the car and the towel causing scratches but after a few wipes, I gained confidence really quickly and began speeding up and using less water. I finished maybe 40 minutes later, mainly because I took a lot of time to rinse out the towel that I used to wash the car. Next time I'll use more towels to wash the car so I'll have to rinse it less.

When I was finished, the only puddles of water on the ground were around the rinse bucket. I kept splashing water out when I rinsed the towel. The surrounding area of the car was completely dry. Not to mention, drying the car was incredibly easy since there was barely any water used to begin with.

Garage + QEW + buckets of warm water + some MF towels = clean car all winter. I love this stuff!!!

Here's the original autopia thread that got me interested. As most of you probably know, autopia guys know their stuff. There are a lot of QEW threads now and it really is amazing. I highly recommend it. $15 shipped for 2 bottles of 16oz (1oz per wash) from protectall.com (the producer). It's well worth it for me, I would never get to wash it outside the traditional way with sudsy bucket and hoses.

Poorboy's makes a similar product called "spray and wipe waterless wash":

Yeah, some people on autopia use some Poorboys stuff too (other products). The warm warm water buckets = nice when the weather is this cold. Plus, I don't want to think about how many bottles of that Poorboys stuff you'd need to wash a whole car... ? Good spot cleaner though I bet :)

it rained today and the water was sliding right off again...

it had so much dirt/dust/poop on it from when the city came and picked up leaves, their stupid machines blew crap all over her.

Hopefully I will be happy enough with my car after I use the stuff that I will post the dancing banana.

So your car can be filthy and this stuff still works?

I have a Eagle One Product, the spray detailer. Which is mainly for touching up an already semi clean car. Is QEW like that or no....you can use it on a dirty car?

EDIT:: Just looked at the link. Seems the car can be rather dirty. I'm gonna order some of this stuff.

Thanks for the heads up.

My car was dirty as heck, I should've took a pic first. It was covered in dust and leaves debris from when the city picked up leaves. And when we used the leaf blower, it blew crap all over my car too.

Click on the autopia link i posted in the first post, it has a detailed step by step process with pics shown by obsessed car detailers :) It really amazing me, my car was incredibly dirty and all it took was small amounts of water to wash it. I plan on washing my car every 2 weeks whereas before I'd probably go to the carwash maybe once throughout the whole winter. You could probably do it without a garage too but it would get cold really fast.

I don't understand how it really works, it just somehow causes the dirt to not stick to the car and it sticks to the QEW solution and then into the rinse bucket.

EDIT: oops, just saw your edit. but yeah, it really amazed me. it cuts right through. at first I used a lot of liquid (sopping wet microfiber towel) but then I used less and less as it worked it's magic

I am definitely going to order some. I saw on the Protectall.com website they are having a special....two 16 oz. bottles for $10.

I wish I had it now. I plan to wash my car tomorrow before my trip. It is dirty as hell. Guess I'll freeze my ass off and do it the old fashioned way. :(
