I got this thing for free, so I figured, why not? But...

So what's a good way to rig this? Get the tubes from a 98?

What Tylerb59 said. I got the small hose to fit on mine, it had planty of slack. The larger hose, I bought a longer piece of 3/4" ID high temp hose from NAPA.

Once you get it installed post how you like the FIPK. I liked the sound but that was all. Performance-wise, I think the K&N drop in was better....

I don't think your '01 will use the very top sensor bung, and you may need to make a longer hose for the larger of the two. The skinny semi-hard line you can eliminate completely with a breather filter which is what I'll do pretty soon, then block up the middle bung too.

Just take your 2 hoses off, take them into pep boys or where ever ask for longer hoses, and dont put those plastic pieces back in the hoses, and it should slip snug over the intake wholes

Well I got it to fit. No palpable gains (expected) but it does sound and look cooler than the stock! (there goes my closet ricer again) I got it for free, so it was just a matter of cleaning it off a tad and swapping it out. Didn't take long at all.

Thanks Buford, you tha man.

And especialy thanks for the free T-45, clutch, flywheel, and pressure plate. I bet those will fit just fine. :D

I just hope everything goes together smoothly and there are no set backs! Have you acquired a bellhousing yet? When are you taking the tranny to get checked out! BTW: I would get that flywheel resurfaced.... always a smart thing to do and pretty cheap :nice:

BTW: Did you clean the air filter before drop in..... if not, that is a wise thing to do! If you did, than I am just trying to be a post whore =P :bang:
