200blkgt, I've used your engine picture as the background on my computer for a long time !!! Your setup sold me on the polished version ! It helped me get through the long wait !!! You gotta love the polished s/c in a black car !

:nice: :nice: :nice:
Very cool Redfire. Gotta love the power of the interweb!

I searched everywhere for a pic of the polished kit installed on a GT before I ordered mine....but there was nothing. So I asked Ken Christley to send me a pic of the unit itself...and when he zipped over a jpeg of the unit I just about fell over. It's a big honking chunk of male jewelry!!!!

The "jewelry" option from KB may seem expensive (I think $600 US extra), but when you consider the price of all the little billet caps and covers that dress up the engine bay...the extra $$$ for the KB polished actually seems pretty fair. And the qualilty of the finish on the twinscrew is unmatched...even the intake manifold is polished like a mirror.

I can't say enough about how impressed I am with this kit. It sits under the stock hood, and you can't hear it under idle or when you granny the car...and she'll drive just like a stocker. But when you get on it...she sounds like a freakin turbine spooling up...and the force of acceleration feels like your head is being ripped off in one direction, while your pants are being pulled off in the other direction. And then when you pop your hood...jaws hit the floor. And you get an extra 150hp to boot.

Earshurt...those are Team Breed cam covers fully polished!

I'm collecting even more goodies for the engine compartment over the off season. Got a billet coolant tank from Canton (that we sent out for polishing), just ordered a chrome alternator from PowerMaster, and a buddy of mine is fabbing up a billet alternator bracket too.

When we do the install in the spring (I'm doing a brake upgrade and lots of other "tweaks"), we're going to see how much of the engine compartment hoses/piping we can swap for stainless steel.

I'm way past the point of rational thinking now...and loving every minute.
