Retraction: Mustangwarehouse.com

So it sounds like they made you retract the statement?

Well, how about this, make a new post explaining what happened, in detail. Dont embellish or make any false claims, just state exactly what happened, from start to finish in relation to the incident that inspired your first post on the matter. Dont claim they scammed you or stole or anything. Simply say they suck to deal with and you hate them and explain why they suck and why you hate them =]

They cant sue you, or force you to do anything if all your doing is telling the truth.

Well, allow me to jump in real quick.

Mustangwarehouse, SUCKS. They are terrible in every sence to deal with. They dont scam poeple but their *******s to their customers, they lie and quite frankly dont deserve anyones business. Avoid them like the plague.

Now, Mustangwarehouse, send me a little legal threat and see how far it gets you.

freedom of speech bitches!

Well if they did make him apologize, I hope mustangwarehouse doesn't really believe that making somebody retract a statement will do any good.

If somebody told you they murdered their children, then retracted it later, would it change your new opinion of them?

I've never dealt with this place, and I sure won't even bother after reading this thread. Congrats mustangwarehouse, making him apologize probably lost you several more potential customers.

I doubt they threatened him with legal action for posting in a forum such as this. I dont see how they would have a case, since we are free to express our opinions here unless the mods dont think its fit. In any case a retraction without an explanation of why means nothing to me or anyone else here I would think. If he doesnt explain himself its worthless and will be ignored by most, including me.
Maybe he just doesnt want to admit that he made some colorful statements that were not totally accurate. This was pointed out by others in the original thread.

Certainly you wouldn't have us believe that murder and poor customer service are similar - uh - crimes?

Sorry, I didn't think I'd need to clarify what I meant. I was pointing out just how worthless a retraction is when you've already made the initial point of telling everyone how horrible something is.

I read through all the responses so far and I still don't know what's going on in this thread.

This thread is incomplete without some history on it. Someone please enlighten those of us not familiar with the particulars.

Just my $0.02 for anyone with future conflicts...

I've had to deal with a LOT of stupid companies thru work and personal purchases. The best thing I can say is this...when something goes wrong, call and let them know you are upset (politely) and give them a chance to make things right (if is a local place, go to manager before calling corporate on their @$$). If they don't make good, get their information and call corporate. Or, if this is an internet or phone order only, ask to speak to their supervisor. If things still aren't looking so hot, contact the BBBOnline.com. Most major companies are members and you can file a complaint. At this point, you can either wait for things to get fixed OR call the company and let them know that you have filed a complaint with the BBB. They normally will make good before BBB contacts them.

I've had so many store managers call to apologize, restaurant owners offer free meals, etc. Hell, Dell gave me a free DVD burner this past summer. Politeness seems to be the key (believe me, I've tried the yelling - and its hard not to yell when someone screws you over).

Oh, and save the company bashing for your close friends, not a public forum. They aren't likely going to be able to sue you, but they sure as hell won't be giving you anything for free. If you feel the need to warn people, make a calm post saying "I had some trouble with a purchase from XYZ. They made it right in the end, but was a hassle."

Anyway, I'm rambling and "lecturing," but hopefully someone will take my advice to heart and will get free meals/products in the future too.
