Lx tails???

Do not buy reproduction LX tails... Especially KSR...

Not all LX tails are created equal.
OEM= more $'s versus Factory Replacement or Reproduction which almost always sell for less.

Be warned

I agree, but I agree that OEM is a much higher quality, and will save you really big headaches.

I have one warning about the KSR sold by 50resto.com, the quality of KSR reproduction lenses is horrible.

I went through about 3 pairs shipped from 50resto.com, and all of the reproduction KSR lenses they shipped to me had defects in the mold, which showed on the lenses.

When you looked down a flashlight at the reflector, there were 4 half circles on each reflector. 50resto recreated the same fault at their shop, and found that ALL of their in stock reproduction KSR lenses had defects.

I have pictures if you want them.

Long story short 50resto cut me a great deal on the Ford OEM lenses, and I was very impressed by the quality of customer service from 50resto.com

Buy the Ford Part, and you won't have a problem.

50resto is a great place to deal with.
CJponyparts.com is also a great place to deal with.

Who ever makes KSR lenses should look into quality control, because they really made themselves look bad when the entire stock of lenses at a major Mustang parts distributor had defects.

The ones in your picture are SVO lenses.
LX lenses don't have amber plastic.

You are correct. I should have said I used the 84-86 lenses and I painted them to look like svo (93 cobra) lenses. Sorry, I had a lapse in my thinking.

KSR quality is horrible, do not buy from them.

Here is a comparison between the KRS reproduction LX tails on the top, and the Ford OEM factory LX tails below them.

See the 4 half circles in the KSR lense? I went through 4 pairs of lenses, and they ALL had the same thing.

KSR never replied to any of my emails, and simply asked me in one response, "who is this", I would not expect a company that had a defective product to respond in such a manner. They really do not care.

Spend the extra money, and get your self the real LX tails.

The half circles are really noticeable from further away.

Thanks man! Is 5.0 resto the only place that sells these KSR's or do the adds in the MMFF catalogs are all the same? I will call ford first thing tomorow morning to see if I can get some lx tails lenses and how much . Whats the price range about for OEM lenses? Thanks

Guys will there be a noticable gap between the hatch and the rear bumper? tunedin302 tails are perfect no gap!
