I was wondering which is a better supercharger for my 99 cobra. What kind of power should I expect from 6-10 psi, is 10 psi even safe for a stock motor? And what could I expect to pay for installation costs? Thanks

You can put a 10 psi. kit on if you want as long
as you have a great tune! A correct Air/fuel mixture is the key! The general
rule of thumb is stay at or around 8psi.
on a stock bottom end.I highly recommend the Procharger! :nice:
The Procharger is best in my opnion!
It has a intercooler and is self contained.
If you care about your engine just make
sure you get a good dyno tune with the
supercharger kit you decided on.The Procharger runs cooler than the Vortech
because the Procharger has a intercooler.
I would purchase a 8 or 10 psi. Procharger
w/P-1SC it's a great kit! :nice: Their is
great gains to be had with the Procharger
on your Cobra! Good Luck

You can't go wrong with either one....anything under 10 lbs is considered safe. As safe as you can be on a stock block anyway. Just make sure you have the proper injectors and fuel pump to support the power and get a custom tune. Make sure you use the octane that the car was tuned on.

Install costs will differ...but I would say expect to pay $600-$800 in labor plus the cost of the tune. I can't remember what I paid for labor.

Don't rule out a Novi 2000 either. The prochargers are cool because they are self contained and they have good flow numbers, but they have issues with blowing their seals. All three of these companies have proven to make big HP numbers. :nice:
