Mach 1 vs 05??

The 05 GT no doubt is the faster ride. 5 hp more that the mach 1 has will not beat out the new tech of the 05:

Here are the dyno results of a Stock 05 GT vs a Stock 04 Mach 1. Blue graph is the 05 Gt, the red is the 04 Mach 1:

oh boy, you have some things to learn... :)
i get it know, that's why you said the 05 mustang gt had 40 more hp than a 04 GT, 300hp VS 260hp
is not that simple though, stick around, you would know the difference between Flywheel HP and RWHP really soon, use the search funtion

in regards of that dyno, well, i won't even comment on that matter, time and REAL dynos are proving the BS some people would create to have a shared on the performance market.

LOL. I know the difference between fwhp and rwhp silly. The 2005 GT has 40 more fwhp than the 2004 GT just like I said. The 05 GT is rated at 300 fwhp and the 04 GT is rated at 260 fwhp :D

There is only one way to settle this

Demolition Derby !!!!! 05 GT vs 04 Mach. I think that would end it right there

The rules:

Demolition Derby on a drag strip
Once the lights drop the 2 cars hit the gas and as soon as they clear the tree they swerve into eachother and continure to do so until one of them crosses the finish line!!!

what do you all think of that?

i'm not silly, is just that i didn't know you knew about this :p
we can compare both cars on different aspects, ford did their homework with this car, it's a huge step forward because of the new chassis, suspension, engine, looks and everything else that can be atrributed to the new car. i don't think we can argue about that. the car has some issues in stock trim that're currently affecting the performance you can get out of her. but i recognize true potential in there, trust me, i respect the car, i love it, not in the same way i like my mach 1, but i know it's a beatiful and great designed vehicle. stock vs stock, it outperforms the old sn95 platform in many ways, but, there is one particular aspect when you compare it against the 4v engine, where we can not give the winner points to it.
in this case, we are comparing the power of the new 05 gt vs the power of a 03/04 mach 1. straight line acceleration, drag racing, street rolls, the basic american way to show who has the faster car has a winner on this contest, (at least on a comparo between both cars). stock vs stock, mach1's would still be ruling providing similar skilled drivers of course, until a new SE mustang comes out in 2005/2006. in the meantime, wait until you're lined up with one, and see it for yourself, 105mph > 101mph :nice:, yes, close..., but not enough :flag:

Agreed. It would be a very close run and most likey decided by the driver with speeds that close :nice:

He didn't ask 'faster' he just asked for comparisons.

Yes, there are comparisons. The '05 is better in every respect and a Mach 1 used is overpriced at $19,000. I'd go $15,500, tops.
