I've been researching and trying to decide what to do with that $1200. I finally decided that i want to get:

bbk o/r H + catback + 4.10 gears + short throw

the only problem is what kindof catback to get. I was thinking the packs at first, but then i hear some clips of them on a o/r H and dont sound too good. I heard the borla stingers on a 2003 cobra, and they sounded perfect! Just what i wanted, a nice deep sound, without any cackle or raspiness. But it was on a cobra and i have a GT. Does anyone know what the stingers with a bbk o/r H would sound like on a GT, has neone done it or heard it?? I'll really appreciate the help!

You have checked out mustang exhaust right? If not do so. I am kinda partial to flowmaster, unless you are looking for a straight through muffler. As a warning flowmasters, will make that crackle sound, the first couple of times you get on it with an offroad pipe, after it has been parked, or maybe I just leave work like a bat out of hell. It is worth it if you can swap pipes for inspections. You will love the gears, especially since the new gt's have 300 hp. Good luck. chris

sorry chris didnt even see your post lol. yea i've been to mustangexhuast, dont have the setup i'm looking for or nething close. the borlas only on cobras on that site. yea i wanna stay away from flowmasters, no offense i just hear they rust worse in bad weather environments (i'm from michigan).

oh i have a 2004 not a 2005, but yea the gears will be sweet.

Gears should be fun, midpipe....I like my Mac O/R H, but if I didn't have bad luck with my Dr. Gas X pipe, it would still be on my car. The Dr. Gas sounded way too good! (I got it used, that's why I had problems with it).

Enjoy your mods. Might want to also consider a plenum/tb combo if your money allows.

edit....I guess partshopper doesn't sell custom stainless catbacks anymore, can't find them

I've got a MAC ProChamber with the Borla (non-stingers) cat-back and it sounds awesome. Huge growl at WOT and not overpowering when you just drive regularly. For the setup you want you will end up paying more that $1200 with installation costs. If you can install it all yourself then do it.
