I live in Houston, TX and every dealer here is not doing the x plan on any GT Mustangs.... :( Has anyone else had a problem with this? I have seen several others say they were able to get one with x plan just wondering what the deal is. Heck one of the dealers here have a brochure. :notnice: and one dealewr i went to has onlt gotten 4 GT's in since thanksgiving :(

X plan in Dallas TX

come on up to Dallas TX via Southwest to get x plan on the GT. I had 5 dealers fighting over me to sell me a GT at x plan price. I bought it about 7 weeks ago when the demand was even greater.

try sams pack five star ford or prestige ford in garland.

i live on the north side of houston, planet ford is my local dealer and i was told by one of their sales person that they didn't offer x plan on the new gt's, so i just walked away

Yeah thats pretty much what I did... walked away. Everyone I talked to was willing to work a deal though.... yeah right! This one dude told me hes hasnt sold one yet that was lower than 3000 over invoice.

I will be getting mine through A-Plan, which is a lower price than X-plan. From what I've been told, they can't deny selling the car to you. I also have been told by a local dealer that if they have any 04 Cobras , they are allowed to sell those under A-plan now.....

LOL. If you were a dealer would you give the X plan if you knew you could get 10k over the sticker

I highly doubt any dealer is getting $10K over stick. $2-3K maybe but no way are they getting $10K. Most '05s are selling at around MSRP now. All they dealers in my area have dropped the over MSRP "market adjustments" all together.

I went throught this same thing back in Oct when I was trying to order mine. Be patient and keep looking, youll find a dealer that will let you order X plan. I went to one of the biggest dealerships here in central fla/ Orlando area and they told me a whole greedy line about how they would not honor xplan until the end of the year when they had more on the lot. I went to another place and they let me order mine on xplan. Right after I ordered it Nov 02, I got a call from a small dealer and they told me they would honor xplan too, had to tell them sorry I already had it on order. I have my red beauty right now and cant stop driving it.

I am wondering the same thing.

They are discount pricing for Ford employees, or people that work for Ford owned companies. My cousin works for Lincoln, so he is allowed to use his A plan pricing on 4 vehicles in one year. He can get me a loaded Navigator for a price that would make your eyes pop out of your head. Too bad I'm not in the market for another SUV.....A plan pricing is lower than X plan pricing. If I'm not mistakened , X plan is for Ford factory employees.........

From what I was told in the past, A-plan is for ANY Ford employee (dealership employees to factory workers) and X-plan is for any company affiliated with a Ford product (if you work at a plastics company that makes the plastic that makes a part, then it qualifies). Most big companies will have X-plan anyway, just talk to your company credit union and they should have the details for you.

As far as Mustang GTs in Houston, I see them at Mac Haik lined up by the freeway. Last time I went by they only had 2 GTs though, but they seem to always have some. The other day I saw a silver 05 GT in the used section at Texan Ford (I believe that is the name of the one on I-10 near Mason Road). I got out and looked at it, and it was a standard trany (nice).

I would walk out on any dealer that wont give you x-plan. Just call the dealers in Houston, there are many to choose from.

I got my car on x-plan from Tommie Vaughn Ford, and I know my salesman will do more x-plans.

Let me know if you want his contact info.

I'm not sure where you've checked, but I don't think TVF is the only dealer doing them...
