folded chin spoiler

ALL US-spec 99+ Mustangs can do it.

You guys have Daylight Running Lights up in Canada which means headlights on when the car starts. We don't have that here.

I would guess you would need to disable the DRL module. I know on 90-93 Mustangs there is a module you can unplug that will disable the DRL's. I do not know how to do it on the 99+ Mustangs. I'm sure if you ask around about disabling the DRL's on a Mustang on the boards you can get an answer.

Thx for the infos :nice:
Saw a stang in Vermont during my last vacation with only the fogs on like you and it was so cool. Guess i ll stick with my set up :(

Here you go. It's pretty easy to do. Just need to unplug one module behind the front bumper near the fog light

"i have day light lamps on mine, i unplugged the module for it so i could run my fogs and parking lamps, if u are curious to see where it is, look behind the front bumper near you left fog lamp, you will see a black box, that is where the day time lamps plug in."

:hail2: Wowwwww thx a lot. I ll remove the cover from the car this week end and give it a shot. It will give me an excuse to sit in it for the first time in 2 months :(
Thx again :nice:

It's just looks really.

Since your car is silver like mine, i'll just show you what it would look like.

I dont think you can fully apreciate that mod unless you do it yourself and see the transformation. . .

I ordered a chin spoiler, grille delete, and tri ax from steeda, and they all came in one box, and the chin spoiler was folded over twice  its got some bent spots that look like they prolly will come out, but i dunno.

anyone else had this experience?

also: this is kindof random, but a buddy of mine told me to get my chin spoiler painted (my car is black) he said he got his painted on his black gt, clearcoat and all, he said it looked sick, and I trust his opinion most the time. . . what do you think?

Dont get it painted. My chin spoiler hits everything, and would look like crap if i painted it. Without piant on it you can barely see the scratches. Alot of my other friends with machs are already on there second and third chin spoiler.

how simple is it to install a chin spolier? you dont have to drill anything do you  power tools and i dont get along to well :D

Get some #8 self tapping metal screws about 3\8" long. It s plastic so very easy to get them through the buttom of the bumper with just hand pressure.

I would mount the spoiler using the factory method using nylon plugs that you can get at autozone. You need 16 of them. The come 1/4" from the factory and you just drill a 1/4" hole and slip them in.

They hold very tightly, but if you ever hit something with the spoiler, the chin spoiler will pull off instead of ripping the bumper off with it if you use screws.

Agreed 100%!
