its stock except for flowmaster american thunder

p.s i kno this will be darn near impossible

i just read that post about the ls1 the guy dropped in a 96 mystic :puke:

and what is the main difference between the 03 cobra and a 97 besides pistons and rods? ....and excluding the supercharger

Iron Block, 85 Horsepower and the ability to get into the 600 Horse range for about $1,000.00 bucks. Not that you can't get that power, it'll just cost a heck of a lot more. What your asking is possible :nice: just costs some $$$ :bang: , I am disappointed if anyone in this forum would have referenced or executed the Chevy Motor swap though, that's just dumb and wrong. :notnice:

03/04 Cobra + 2.8" Pulley + Good Tune = Aprox 550 Flywheel HP (Under a Grand)
03/04 Cobra + 2.8" Pulley + Good Tune + CAI + Good Exhaust = 575 Flywheel HP ( A bit over a Grand)
03/04 Cobra + Port Job on Blower + Injectors + Pulley + CAI + Good Exhaust + Possible Fuel Pump Work = over 600 Flywheel HP (Around $2500-$3,000)

You can see these #'s on your car with a Ken Belle. You just have to buy the damn thing. You also have to look at your bottom end too. These two add up to several grand. That is where the 03/04 shine, they just came with a lot of stuff already there.

Obviously these are approximate, you will see a variance of HP#'s on these cars on this web site. Bottom line, once you spend the coin on the car, the rest is simple and relatively inexpensive. Hell, I spent THOUSANDS on my 99 GT and did not get the power my Cobra has for less money total.

possible

you need a nice turbo set-up or a kenne bell supercharger blowzilla with a bunch of boost, dont forget too forge and stroke.

wait for that new cobra then slap a 100 shot on that just to make it fair.
you can spend less money than he did for the vette and go faster.

nuff said. :nice:

ha ha, I too like the 400 shot one time use comment. :nice: :rlaugh:

Agree to race at a 1/8 of a mile track.

Buy a set of 4.56 gears & a set of slicks.

Remove: jack, spare tire, rear seat, drivers seat, (use passager seat), sway bars, hood, trunk lid. etc.

Warm up the tires good, lanch from 6000rpm & hope for the best.

This is the most cheap and logical response to this thread. Didn't you ask this same question on SVTperformance, and then asked if you should change your weld in flows? Anyway Im with SVT guy. Maybe you could spray some too. But who in their right mind would race with a near stock 97 Snake against a ZO6 sprayin a 150 shot? I guess pray he blows his engine up. Which isn't too far off with the quality of chevy motors.

Nah, he's not a troll, same question was posted over on svtperformance in the sn95 cobra section and he got the same results...

ex:
-pray that the z06 driver misses 1st then grabs 6th when going for 2nd

-sc and 150 shot

-03 engine swap

-ARE YOU SERIOUS?! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA...*deep breath*....HAHAHAHAHAHA

you get the idea. Good luck to you man, make sure you take it to the track when you race and hope that no GM guys are filming the masacre :p

Uhhh... make the guy in the Z06 start in 3rd?

Keep dreamin' pal, that is one wicked car even when it's not on the bottle. My cousin's partner has a blown Z06, dynoed at about 650 at the fly, I've driven a lot of super-fast cars and that is the flat out scariest thing I've ever driven. The original 2000 Z06 with 385hp was the first car that scared the crap outta me, the blown one was the car that made me see god.

That's all great but I am positive there are more Cobra's out there with that kinda power (and more) than there are Z06's. Not a lot of seriously modded Z06's floating around. I know of at least 3 700+ HP Cobras in the Cleveland area alone. Haven't lost to a Z06 yet but those damn Kenne Bell Cobra's.....Damn!!!!
