Searching for an X-plan PIN!

  • Sponsors (?)

I don't know why...and I'm not complaining, when I ordered mine (V6) we settled on a price and then I was told that they were going to give me the X plan price. I guess they like me.

Probably because they get it cheaper from Ford and will make more on that than on the invoice price + a little we agreed to.

X plan pricing is a discount usually to employees of a big company. Because that companies fleet is ford theyget a discount that they pass on to the employees.
And Xplan pricing doesnt work for SVT vehicles.

One small problem with giving you an xplan number, your SIN number makes up the rest and they verify it before you by it. My company gets x plan pricing and I just found this out. I can give you an xplan number but then you need to give your SIN number and the dealership will come back saying no good. Besides I saved a total of 4000 on my 05. You can probably do better or just as good.

the part about the pin is correct. saved 4000? no. markup on the 05 mustang doesn't even come close to that.

He can correct me if I'm wrong, but I think he meant he paid 4000 less than the sticker - not that he saved 4000 on the Xplan.

Nope....X plan (or even A plan for Ford employees) will not save $4,000 from MSRP. Depending on options, or premium vs deluxe, X plan will be about $2,000 under MSRP (give or take a hundred or two).
