I just got my wheels/tires on yesterday. I am going to plan on lowering the car as well.

TSW Catalunya 18x8 - Hyper Black
BFGoodrich g-Force T/A KDW-2 (255/45-18)

The wheels look great and I love the NT pattern, but the tires look a lot skinneier than I thought they would.

Yeah, I also was somewhat surprised that they didn't look that wide in the rear as well. I thought about larger rears, but for the extra cost, i didn't think it was worth it. The grip level has increased and it feels more responsive with these new tires.

Rims look nice, but I've never been a fan of 6 spoke (pair of spokes in your case) rims, on a 5 lug wheel. Unless, the center has a cap and you can't see the 5 lugs! Sorry, it's just me. I like things that are symetrical, that's all. :nice:

Love the wheels... not to big on the tire size... they are almost V6 skinny.. but hey.. not my ride .. looks good from the side :nice:
Totally agree there!! Rims look awesome, but need "fatter" tires! looks way too skinny ,,,

What's the next size up for 18" wheels? (and still keep about a 27" diameter) I assumed going up to the 255's would make more of a difference. If I go to the next widest size will they also be OK for the front?

Can you take a picture of the lip on your wheels. I'm curious to see how much of a deep dish look those wheels give if any at all?

Thanks

Let me know if this is good enough, it was taken in my garage at night. I can take some different shots if you still want...

V6 skinny? They are 1.5" wider than V6 and .75" wider than stock GT. I don't understand what you are saying.

Well.. maybe if i saw the whole rear it would give a better perspective? They just look very "thin" to me. Those tires are 3/4" wider than a factory GT? or the wheels are? I never saw any sizes anywhere so i was just going by the pic of the drivers rear.

Stock GT is 235/55-17 @ 9.25"
My 255/45-18 @ 10"

I agree,, maybe if you had a pic of entire back part, then we could see better,, but from that one pic, it does look close to V6 size, and more like 3/4" thinner than the Stock one's for GT

post more pic's please to clearify,,,,
:nice:

The "skinny" look is probably due to them being mounted on an 8" wide wheel. A 9" one would stretch it out more. Doesn't really look bad or anything. Also, that low angle kind of causes it to appear that way.
