Need more fuel?--what do you think

Went to the dyno the other day to check out the combo (gasket ported cobra intake and GT40 heads, FMS rockers, stock cam, 70mm TB, headers, o/r h, mac catback, 5 speed), and was disappointed. My max hp was 216 at 4400 rpm's and max torque was 278 at 3800.

Problem became apparent when I looked at the a/f--rising to 16 at 5000rpm.

I am guessing a new fuel pump will solve my lean problem. Putting one in this weekend, I hope.

Any thoughts on my condition?

I'm no pro so wait for one of the more experienced guys on here to chime in on this, but what pump are you currently running? The stock one, which I believe in our year is the 88 lph? I recently installed a 155 lph kit and adj. fuel press. regulator and it helped me out a lot, no more ping at above 4000 rpm at WOT in 2nd and 3rd gear, and mine is basically a stock setup so far. But it is definitely worth looking into, you may want a 190 or 255 if you plan to do more, just my worthless 2 cents. Someone will straighten me out I'm sure.

You should be making good HP numbers up into the 5000-5500 range..you need to get some fuel in there to correct the lean issue. I wouldn't be surprised if you picked up another 20-30 hp in the high end when she's fed properly

Your TB might be a bit to big for your application and also I'd dump a bottle of Barryman B12 in a full tank of gas to make sure your injectors are nice and clean. Also a new fuel filter which is a cheap and easy do it urself will help some.
