Okay let me give you some background on these vids before you watch them....
I've used seafoam on my Mustang and lincoln. It resolved my surge problem at startup and idle for the mustang. The surge i have was because of a bad egr valve. Well i still have the bad on, and NO more surge after using seafoam. :hail2:
My lincoln saw no noticable improvements.
So we decided to do this on my friends Rodeo (car in vids). We poored 1/2 quart in the vacuum line and the other 1/2 in the oil. We let it set for 15min. and you can see the smoke it caused. This rodeo did not smoke 1 lick before the sea foam. These vids are after the 15min wait period.
Also, i am really sorry about the dark vids. If you turn up the brightness on your monitor you can see vid 2. Vid 1 is hard to see. In vid 2 at the end you can see all the smoke in the light. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE right click and save these links.... Also if someone can edit the files and brighten them up, by all means do so because even though you can somewhat see the smoke it does no justice because of the darkness. Please PM me if you have questions or whatever.

What did I do wrong??? Yes I could see the smoke. But what is the point of it. I have read a few threads were people are having problems using the4 seafoam. I just said someone needs to make a How To Video. I did not say one mean thing. But if you guys want to cry about it so be it.

the way i read it, it sounded like you said "someone needs to learn how to make a video" LOL

i saw everything pretty much perfect. it was dark but watchable.

i guesse i wont be using this stuff during the day or in public lol

Well, concidering the video was from a digital camera and not a video camera its good. But if you read what i said it IS DARK. Brighten it up if you know how. I dont, and i dont care to know how... If it was brighter you would see the entire rodeo vanished under the smoke.
I did the video because people were complaining about No smoke. So i wanted them to see that it does smoke if the engine really really needs it.
Um, i did my mustang in the day and i smoked out an old lady walking.. I felt bad, so if you think your engine needs it.. then dont do it around people. Also, I will create a how to video this weekend during the DAY time so everyone can see it. That way we can have a sticky !!
I didnt take anything personal from your post Super. I did read it like you were bashing me but, i dont care what people think so it doesnt bother me. I looked at it llike i made the effort to help stop the seafoam questions.
A new vid. will be coming this weekend and i will make sure its in the DAY :) If you have anyquestions about how to use it.. Ask away and i will help out.. ( ill even take a video of the finding the VACUUM line)
:spot:

I never bashed you. I was actually going to PM and ask you to make a How To Video during the day. I know that would benefit a lot of the people on the board. I know there have been a lot of threads lately of people not knowing how to use it. And I know if used wrong it could hurt something. If you do make a video, make sure to explain everything. Even if you think it is not important. I would never bash someone for trying to help.

No harm no foul ! I put the pix up cuz i was amazed at the smoke, that and hopefully someone on here can brighten them up for all to see the rodeo roast those tires.. bahahaahah, actually it had an exhaust leak ! ( that joke will make more sense if you could see vid2)

it's okay, I didnt relize you guys took it that way. I thought you were complaining that I couldn't see anything.

Now I haven't watched the vids because I obviously won't see them, but from what you wrote, you poured 1/2 qt in the vaccum which I have read you do to clean out the ports and the valves and such. I have also heard of adding it to the gas tank to clean out the pump, the lines, and the injectors. Never have I seen someone put it in the oil.

Now someone can educate me on the base of Seafoam is, but I don't see it being a lubricant. Oil is used as a lubricant for your rotating assembling and all moving parts. What exactly would Seafoam do if you added it to the oil, besides smoke real bad because its heating up at extreme temps and getting burned off. All I see being the basis of your smoking problem is that you misused the product, just like everyone else that trys to degrade this product.

Will someone please explain this to me? I've heard too many people trying to knock on this stuff but it always comes down to the user, using it wrong.

I managed to adjust the vids so that I could see them, but I can't save them that way.

It looks like he lives in an apartment so doing the Seafoam in the middle of the day is probably not a good way to make friends. :D

Seafoam can be used in the crankcase, so other than maybe using a little more than called for, the product was used as designed.

From their site
When Added to Crankcase (Oil)

1. Frees sticky lifters and rings
2. Increases R.P.M.'s vacuum and compression
3. Cleans dirty parts
4. Removes moisture
5. Cleans PCV valve systems

One pint treats 10 quarts of oil (avg. 1 1/2 ounce per quart).

you dont need a video to show people how to use seafoam just show them a picture of the brake booster line they need to remove and tell them to shove the hose in the can granted there is a little bit of a trick to keep it from dying too soon then when you shoved enough in there let it die wait 5 and start it back up

but come on I just talked two of my buddies through it the other day and one of the them thought he had a V8 in his truck when it was a 6 to show you his IQ and he figured it out :nonono:
