What wheels will fit this car in a 17 incher??

The car is bone stock and has 39k on it. I am going to make it a concourse restoration since it has EVERYTHING straight from the dealer down to the dealer license plate frame, SVO audio tape, window sticker etc etc....

Anyway, I want the 17's for racing on the weekends. What will fit?? Is the wheel pattern and back spacing the same as a 94 5.0 ? ?

Also, how do you disconnect the knock sensor?? Any problems with this you guys?? I run premium all the time.

It is so cool having 2 mustangs in the garage next to one another.... Can't decide which one to take to Pony Trails in Seattle....

any late model mustang wheels (obviously 5 lug) will fit your car. Personally, I like bullitts and the deluxe 99+ silver 17" wheels on foxes....

The late model wheels do fit, though the backspacing isn't optimum. The wheels work well on stock ride height vehicles but drag on lowered cars...

Like said, 94+ 5 lug wheels work just fine for stock ride hieght or a little lower, but if you really drop it down or and corner hard they will rub. The offset for the 94+ wheels pushes the wheels outa the wheel wells (what stinger was refering to).

I think i remember someone saying that the 2005 mustang has the correct offset for the svo...so if your looking into new wheels, that would work.

The 94 to 97 cobra wheels will fit ok .I done the sn95 cobra swap so there are a lot more wheel combos for my svo

I guess I will have to check out the spacing on the new mustang. Those would look out of this world. Can anyone confirm?? I bet you could buy the GT wheels from an owner who wanted to add aftermarket rims for cheap and I think they are still 17 inches.

We are waiting on a set of 2005 bullits right now. as soon as they arrive we will be posting fit issues. but supposidly the offset and backspacing are close but the wheel is 8" vs 7" so not sure where the tire will end up on the car.

Let us know NY Eric when you get those 05 wheels on. My new SVO is white so I am not sure if I want white wheels like the 89 Saleen or Chrome, but I know I don't want painted grey wheels.
