Rotisserie Recommendations Needed.

  • Sponsors (?)

This is not a recommendation, just links I've collected:

Accessible Systems , US Car Tool , and there's usually a couple on eBay.

If you want to build your own, I've also collected a couple PDF write-ups that others have made (again - not a recommendation - just collected info.). I have a write-up that goes with this Rotisserie Plan and another. Let me know and I'll email them to you or anyone else that interested.

(If you post email addresses, put a # in place of the @ symbol to prevent web-bots from picking up your address and sending you junk mail.)

Thx for the email platonic!

reen, you could twirl it with ONE HAND!??! wow... this thing might be worth the $ to me considering it'd save a LOT of time/effort and allow me to jump more into my project sooner.

If you look at their website you can see pics of it with a Mustang unibody on it. They had a woman there who was very knowledgable about the product, and who probably weighed 125 or so. She grabbed the 'stang and turned it over for me no problem.

I liked the Plus model with the hydraulic rams since you could pick the car up with it and adjust the height as well. She did say that you may have to use a floor jack a bit depending on how heavy your car is (perhaps not totally stripped). The mounts to the car are adjustable, so once you figure out the "sweet spot" for your car, where the center of gravity of the car is very near to the axis of rotation, it should be quite easy to rotate. This should be true of any rotisserie that has enough adjustment.

Just for ideas (pretty agricultural, but it works :D )

LOL! hah nice work!

I decided to purchase the PLUS model from autotwirler.com like I was considering before. They said I should recieve it in a few weeks.

I'll let you know how it goes... reen helped sell me on their equipment. :flag:
