Any fix for vibration problem?

I've had problems with an exhaust leak where the headers meet the H-pipe for quite a while now, even after many attempts to tweak the h-pipe into place. Last week I found out about muffler paste, so I figured I'd give it a shot. I pulled the h-pipe back down for the 50th time and smothered the flanges in paste, put it back together and let it harden for a few hours. I must say, I'm impressed with how well this stuff works, I dont think I'll ever do another exhaust job without it, the exhaust leak is almost completely gone.

Unfortunately, now my car has a bad vibration at ~1900 RPM's in any gear. It sounds and feels like the exhaust is rattling off the floorboards. So I figured OK, I'll slide under there one more time and try to adjust it. I slid under there and the only place I noticed that was close to the floorboards was on the h-pipe towards the rear on the passenger side. So I dropped the pipe again and tried to make for a little more clearance, but after finishing yesterday and going for a ride, it mustn't have been enough because it still has the same problem.

Anyone know of any tricks to make my H-pipe stay put? There's no problems above or below that range, it only does it at about 1800-2000 RPM's. Please help, this problem is extremely annoying :damnit:

Is there any way to check the motor mounts or is it just a visual thing?
Did you put the headers on yourself? If so you might be able to remember how much of a gap you had between the headers and the steering shaft. When my mounts started to go bad, my headers starting rubbing on my steering knuckle. Also as far as the leak goes, My Mac headers were only skip welded in about 3 or 4 places where the flange mates up to the pipes, and those skip welds gave out over time. Then the flange was just pulling down and bending as I tightened the h-pipe up on it. My new BBK's were the same way when I got them, but I took them to work and got them welded up solid all the way around. Now I can get that union tight, where before I couldn't and it always seemed like I had a leak. Just something for all you guys to look at if you seem to be having trouble getting them tight and keeping them tight.
